Welcome to Cycling in Chandler!
Chandler is an excellent year round cycling community with plenty of beautiful places to ride your bike! Here at Global Bikes we provide multiple group rides from all of our locations year round to help you get started on or back on your journey. They include all different types of riding from: Road, to Mountain, Gravel, from the casual beginners to the advanced riders. Come join one of our group rides or just simply check out all of our year round rides schedule at our official ride calendar on the popular Meetup app here.
The city of Chandler has provided not only bike designated paths on the road but also has a very extensive canal system left over from our farm land history that can make your ride safer being off the road and away from traffic. With the help of these designated bike lanes, bike routes and canal paths a rider can get from one side of our valley to the other with ease! Maricopa County provides a great bike map that includes all of these bike friendly ways as well as how to stay safe on the road, how to communicate with others via hand signals and some helpful anti theft prevention tips...all at no cost to you! By following the link below you can access the map online or if you pop into our N. Chandler location and S. Chandler location we can also give you a hard copy free of charge.
Mountain Bike Trails
Mountain bike trails are easily found in the valley and are not too far from any location in Chandler! San Tan Mountain Regional Park is one of the more popular trail systems near the Chandler area and has over 8 miles of trails available ranging from 1 mile - 6 miles long at a time. This portion of the Sonoran Desert has great plant life, wildlife and scenic mountain views. Most of the trails all include sandy washes, soft soil and rocky sometimes slick terrains which all makes for a more diversely fun ride.
